Clap Your Hands

Part of my job is making appointments for our sales people. It’s my job to get that done as efficiently as possible reaching out to the client once, possibly twice a month so that the next month’s appointments don’t get pushed out too far. I had one account today where I have been working with the Office Manager to get an appt for my sales guy with the owner. This is not a new account and I don’t call the owner directly. I started calling 9 days ago and have left one vm message and emailed 3 times to narrow down dates. I don’t consider this excessive or intrusive for the most important meeting of the year before policies renew. This was the response he sent to his office manager copying my sales person:

“If they call again for a meeting find a new agent!”

I mean seriously, is that even necessary? Well I feel sorry for him that he’s so cranky. why do people need to be that way? It seems to me that it wrecks their day, the days of those around them too. It wastes a perfectly good day with a negative attitude and it just brings everyone down around you …. unless of course we choose to be above that which I do. So let’s all just be nice to one another and have a great day!
