Patience is a Side Effect of Faith

“Patience is a side effect of Faith. It is a gift you give to others, but it is also a gift you receive for yourself. Patience is pliable, have faith and it stretches as you need more or less of it. Patience is strong, Pray and it supports you when you falter and feel like losing it. Patience is soft, have faith and it wraps itself around you to get you through struggles. Soft, Strong and pliable will get you there!”

Today’s Brenspiration was just going to be about patience but it morphed into a message about faith causing patience. Sometimes these just happen on their own. I was thinking this morning about how I’m going to need more patience in dealing with conversations about looking at our retirement and where we want to be and when. I of course want it now like Veruca in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. LOL I know however that these are big decisions and one time decisions from which there is no going back. I must wait and discuss these things with my family. I can’t let the fact that my son is leaving to start his new life in a place that I very much want to live in, having never been there except last summer when he was working there. I must wait. God isn’t ready for me to jump ship and just haul my life down south. I must wait because it isn’t time yet. I MUST WAIT and so I wait and have faith that the answers and opportunity will come when the time is right and God says it’s time to go.
