Faith is like a Nut…

“Faith is like life’s nut, everything is held tight with it in place but when Faith is lost or loosens, life begins to fall apart.”

I’ve walked past this Hex nut on the street now for a few days.  Every day I say I’m going to pick it up and make the days Brenspiration about that nut.  Every day I walk past it until today.  Today as I walked on my daily walk I prayed as I always do.  When I pray I always start with thanks to God for the joy and blessings He bestows on me including my family, my health, my ability to take that daily walk, and the health and happiness that my family brings me.  Today I was praying for peace for Rob’s family.  They lost a family member today to a long-standing health issue stemming from a heart condition.  Heart issues are prominent in Rob’s family.  He lost his father to a heart attack and now an Uncle to a heart problem too.  They don’t have long lives in general.  His Grandfather died of skin cancer, his other uncle (brother to the one that passed) has a pacemaker, Grandmother has a pacemaker too.  It’s just how it is.

Anyway, as I was praying for them and for God to help them begin to heal, I picked up that nut on my way home.  I immediately knew that my Brenspiration would be what you read above.  Having faith holds your life together because faith is what you have in God.  It’s your undeniable, unending, unwavering belief that he will take care of you and your needs no matter what.  it’s relinquishing all control over to him and trusting that he will do what is best for you and walking wherever he leads.  When you have God in your life and you turn everything over to him with 100% trust, your life is held tightly together just like that Hex nut holds things tightly together.  If you start to lose faith in God, just like when a Hex nut becomes loose, everything in your life begins to shake and fall apart.

We must tighten our life nuts by having faith that God will do what’s best for us.  When it all starts to fall apart, bow your head, and speak from the heart and ask God to tighten things up.  When we have a consistent and regular relationship with God, everything falls into place.
